KATHMANDU: The death toll from a fire caused by a cooking gas leak at a local momo house in Kamalpokhari has increased to four.
Apil Raj Bohora, Spokesperson for the District Police Range Kathmandu and Superintendent of Police, confirmed that the latest victim is 25-year-old Chhiring Lama from Dhunkharka, Bethanchok Rural Municipality in Kavrepalanchowk.
Lama, who had been temporarily staying in Kamalpokhari, passed away from burn injuries last night.
Seven other individuals who were injured in the February 5 incident are still receiving medical treatment.
The other victims who lost their lives in the fire are 22-year-old Pradip Tamang from Udayapurgadhi-7 in Udayapur, 18-year-old Rabin Rai from Manahari Rural Municipality-5 in Makawanpur, and Bhim Bahadur Ghale from Galtar, Katari Municipality-8 in Udayapur.
