KATHMANDU: Deputy Prime Minister and Finance Minister Bishnu Prasad Paudel, who was injured in a balloon explosion during the Pokhara Visit Year event last week, has been discharged from Kirtipur Hospital after two days of treatment.
The hospital issued a statement confirming that Paudel’s burn wounds were healing well, with no signs of lung damage, prompting the decision to discharge him.
Meanwhile, Pokhara Metropolitan City Mayor Dhanraj Acharya, who was also injured in the explosion, is reportedly recovering but will remain hospitalized for further treatment.
The hospital stated that Acharya, who has been managing high blood pressure, is receiving care from a cardiologist and will stay in the hospital for a few more days.
