KATHMANDU: Two people were killed and 14 others injured in a jeep accident at Batasedanda, Ward No. 5 of Dhorpatan Municipality in western Baglung.

The jeep (Lu Pra 01–001–1775) was heading from Burtibang Bazaar toward Sahikhola via the Dhorpatan-Saljhandi road section when it met with the accident on Friday afternoon.

According to Deputy Superintendent of Police Basanta Pandey of the District Police Office Baglung, the deceased have been identified as 70-year-old Nar Bahadur Karki and 75-year-old Bhimkumari Budha, both residents of Ward No. 2 of Dhorpatan Municipality.

They were pronounced dead by doctors while undergoing treatment at Burtibang Hospital.

A total of 14 people were injured in the crash.
