KATHMANDU: The landside and flood triggered by the rainfall occurred on Thursday night have disrupted transportation, electricity and telephone at Sabhapokhari rural municipality-4 of Sankhuwasabha district.

Vice Chairperson of the rural municipality, Laxmi Chapagain, informed that essential service as electricity and telephone were disturbed due to flooding and landside.

The rural roads are damaged and electricity poles swept away.

Even the under-construction Sabhapokhari Hydropower of 21 MW received damages in the landslide. The construction materials are swept away by the flood.

Moreover, more than half dozens of households are displaced. Vice Chairperson Chapagain informed that they had begun collecting details of those displaced persons and damages incurred to the settlements. However, it was difficult to collect exact details as it was raining heavily now.
