KATHMANDU: A motorcyclist died after being struck by a truck in Kageshwari Manohara, Kathmandu, on Saturday evening.
The collision took place in Ward 9 of Kageshwari Manohara Municipality, Radar area, where a motorcycle (Ba 60 Pa 1795) was hit by a truck (Ba Pra-03-001 Kha 1247), according to the District Police Range, Kathmandu.
The deceased has been identified as 34-year-old Suraj Khadka from Gorkha. He suffered severe injuries in the crash and passed away during treatment at Civil Hospital in Baneshwor, said Superintendent of Police Apilraj Bohara, the range’s spokesperson.
Following the incident, the truck driver was taken into police custody.
