KATHMANDU: Three people were killed and 22 others injured in a tragic bus accident on the East-West Highway in Badgam, Kanchanrup Municipality-10, Saptari.
The passenger bus, bearing the number plate PR 1-01-001 Kha 3420, was traveling from Udaypur to Biratnagar when it lost control and overturned.
Two victims, a woman and a man, died at the scene of the accident. Their identities have not yet been confirmed.
A third fatality, 75-year-old Ratna Bahadur Magarati from Saptakoshi Municipality-1 in Saptari, succumbed to his injuries while undergoing treatment at Golden Hospital in Biratnagar.
