15th International Invitational Itahari Gold Cup to start on Feb 15

SUNSARI: The 15th edition of the International Invitational Control Lubricants Itahari Gold Cup is set to begin on February 15, 2025.

Santa Bahadur Dumjan, President of the Rastriya Jagriti Club, the tournament’s organizing body, announced that the event will take place from February 15 to 22 at Itahari Stadium.

A total of eight teams will compete in the tournament, including Rastriya Jagriti Club, United Kharsang Football Club, Sagarmatha Youth Club Morang, New Road Club Kathmandu, Machhindra Football Club Kathmandu, Kakadbhitta Football Training Center Jhapa, Church Boys United, and Dharan Football Club.

The winners will receive a trophy and a cash prize of Rs. 1 million, while the runner-up will take home Rs. 500,000.

Dumjan further revealed that individual prizes will also be awarded, including Rs. 100,000 for the best player in each category, Rs. 10,000 for the ‘Man of the Match’ of each game, and Rs. 20,000 for the best goalkeeper, best defender, best midfielder, best striker, and best coach.

Additionally, the player with the most goals will earn a cash prize of Rs. 25,000.
