KATHMANDU: The 4th Valley-Wide Junior Wushu Championship 2082, jointly organized by Jorpati Wushu Quan and supported financially by Gokarneshwor Municipality, concluded successfully on May 10 (Baisakh 29).

The three-day open-level junior championship was held from Baisakh 27 to 29 at the Municipality Hall of Gokarneshwor. The closing ceremony was graced by the Mayor of Gokarneshwor Municipality, Mr. Deepak Rijal, as the chief guest. Special guests included Deputy Mayor Ms. Sannani Lama, Chairperson of the Youth and Sports Development Committee Mr. Sanjay Lama, and General Secretary of the Nepal Wushu Federation Mr. Nabaraj Dhungana Bishwas, among others. The guests distributed medals and certificates to the winning players.

Medal Tally:
• Ist Position: Eastpole Academy Team – 10 Gold, 2 Silver, and 3 Bronze medals
• 2nd Position: Manmaiju Wushu Quan Team – 7 Gold, 11 Silver, and 4 Bronze medals
• 3rd Position: Host Jorpati Wushu Quan Team – 6 Gold and 7 Bronze medals

Mr. Narayan Shrestha, President of Jorpati Wushu Quan and the event coordinator, shared that the fourth edition saw overwhelming participation from highly skilled junior athletes, making the tournament a grand success.

• Taolu Female Category: Babita Thada Magar (Eastpole Academy)
• Sanda Male Category: Sanjib Tamang (Ninja Wushu Quan)
• Sanda Female Category: Aarti Gombo (Manmaiju Wushu Quan)

Technical coordinator Mr. Shailendra Shrestha extended gratitude to all participating quans, schools, athletes, and coaches. He also expressed optimism that the tournament would be even more outstanding in the coming years.
