Nepal defeated Singapore by 8 wickets in the first match of the Asia Qualifier of T20 World Cup. Singapore, who won the toss and batted first, scored 145 runs after losing 9 wickets in the scheduled 20 overs. The target of 146 runs given by Singapore was met by Nepal by losing only 2 wickets. Kushal Bhurtel of Nepal scored a superb 74 in the game.
Abhinash Bohra took 3 wickets for Nepal. Gulshan Jha, Sandeep Lamichhane, and Karan KC took two wickets each.
Nepal will play the second match against Malaysia on Tuesday.
