KATHMANDU: The Cricket Association of Nepal (CAN) has announced a historic bilateral T20I series against the West Indies men’s national team.
The three-match series will be held at the Sharjah Cricket Stadium in the United Arab Emirates on September 27, 28, and 30, 2025.
This marks the first time that Nepal will face the ICC T20 World Cup champions in a bilateral series, underscoring the country’s growing stature in international cricket.
The announcement was made official through a press release issued by CAN on Thursday.
“This landmark series marks a pivotal moment in Nepal’s cricketing journey,” the statement read. “On behalf of CAN, we express our deepest gratitude to Cricket West Indies (CWI) for their strong commitment to supporting cricket development in emerging nations.”
CAN spokesperson Chhumbi Lama expressed confidence that the series would offer critical exposure for Nepal’s players and further strengthen Nepal’s ambitions on the global cricketing stage.
