KATHMANDU: Karnali Yaks won the match against Pokhara Avengers by 7 wickets in Nepal Premier League (NPL).
Karnali registered its third consecutive win by defeating Pokhara Avengers on Tuesday, after losing its first two matches. Karnali achieved the target of 104 runs set by Pokhara for the loss of 3 wickets in 15 overs.
Glushon Jha remained unbeaten on 49 runs for Karnali. He hit 3 fours and 4 sixes in 37 balls. Similarly, Chadwick Walton contributed 42 runs in 34 balls with the help of 6 fours and 1 six.
Walton and Gulson had a partnership of 60 runs for Karnali, who lost 2 wickets in 14 runs. William Bosisto remained unbeaten on 2 runs. Opener Babar Hayat was bowled out for 7 runs, while Kheb Khanal could not open the account. Pokhara's Bipin Khatri, Sagar Dhakal and Kushal Bhurtel took 1 wicket each in the bowling.
Earlier, Pokhara, who had won the toss and batted first at the TU International Ground in Kirtipur, had lost all their wickets in 16.3 balls and were all out for 103 runs. William Bosisto bowled brilliantly and took 6 wickets alone before Pokhara was all out. Bosisto took 6 wickets for 28 runs in 4 overs. Captain Sompal Kami, Bipin Sharma and Yunish Singh Thakuri took one wicket each.
For Pokhara, Dinesh Kharel scored 26, Andres Gauss scored 25, Raymond Reifer scored 20 and captain Kushal Bhurtel and Bipin Khatri scored 10 runs each, while the others could not add runs to double figures.
