KATHMANDU: Pokhara Thunders has entered the final of the Nepal Super League (NSL) football tournament.
In the Qualifier 2 match held at Dasharath Stadium in Tripureshwor today, Pokhara defeated Dhangadhi FC by 1-0 to book a place in the final. Stephen Sameer Binong scored in extra time of the second half to take his team to the final.
Pokhara will now play against defending champions Lalitpur City FC for the title.
Earlier, Pokhara had defeated FC Chitwan by 3-0 in the eliminator to make it to the second qualifier. Dhangadhi got a second chance after losing to Lalitpur by 1-2 goals in the first qualifier.
