KATHMANDU: Planning Boys United Club has secured promotion to the ‘A’ Division League.

In a match held on Tuesday at the ANFA ground in Satdobato under the Shahid Smarak ‘B’ Division League, Planning defeated Bansbari Club 2-0, ensuring their promotion to the ‘A’ Division with two matches to spare.

This marks the first time Planning Boys has ascended to the top division.

With the victory, Planning Boys has accumulated 27 points from 11 matches, placing them at the top of the table.

Even if they lose both of their remaining matches, they will remain in the top two.

Bansbari, with 15 points from the same number of games, has dropped to the seventh position.

Pujan Thapa scored the decisive goal for Planning Boys in the 81st minute. Earlier, in the 47th minute, Planning was gifted an own goal by Bansbari.
