KATHMANDU: The Kulekhani-Kalanki-Humane road section, a key link between Kathmandu and Hetauda, will remain closed for 19 days starting today (Friday) due to ongoing maintenance work.
The Nepal Police Headquarters has requested motorists to use alternative routes during this period.
According to Nepal Police spokesperson and Senior Superintendent of Police Ramesh Thapa, the closure decision was made in coordination with local authorities to ensure public safety and convenience.
The road section in Indrasarobar Rural Municipality of Makawanpur district will be completely closed to traffic for blacktopping work.
In a notice issued on Thursday, Nepal Police advised travelers to use alternate routes such as Kantilokpath or Kulekhani-Sisneri-Pharping while traveling between Kathmandu and Hetauda.
The road maintenance project is being carried out with the cooperation of local administrations and local government units, and traffic will be halted throughout the construction period.
