KATHMANDU: The country is currently experiencing the partial effects of a western low-pressure system.

As of Tuesday morning, the weather in the hilly areas of Koshi and Gandaki provinces is partly cloudy, while the rest of the country remains mostly clear.

According to a bulletin issued by the Division on Tuesday morning, mist and fog are prevailing in some areas of the Terai.

The Division also mentioned that light snowfall is possible in one or two locations in the high hilly and mountainous areas of Koshi, Gandaki, and Karnali provinces today.

In its warning and advisory for the next 24 hours, the Division stated: “There is a possibility of light snowfall in one or two areas of the high hilly and mountainous regions of Koshi, Gandaki, and Karnali provinces.”

It stated that mist and fog are expected in the Terai regions during the morning.

As these conditions may impact daily life, health, and transportation, both road and air, necessary precautions and measures should be taken to minimize their potential effects, according to the Division.
