Kathmandu records 8.6°C Wednesday morning

KATHMANDU: The minimum temperature in Kathmandu this morning was recorded at 8.6 degrees Celsius, with daytime temperatures expected to reach between 21 and 23 degrees Celsius.

The Meteorological Forecasting Division has reported that there will be no rain in the Kathmandu Valley over the next three days.

The country is currently affected by a westerly low-pressure system, bringing partly to generally cloudy skies in Bagmati, Gandaki, Lumbini, and Karnali Provinces today, while the rest of the nation will experience clear weather.

Fog is also reported in some areas of the Terai region.

According to the Division, the weather will remain partly to mostly cloudy in the hilly areas this afternoon, while other regions will remain clear.

Light snowfall may occur in some high hilly and mountainous areas in Karnali and Sudurpaschim Provinces, as well as in one or two spots in Bagmati and Gandaki Provinces.

Tonight, the weather will be partly cloudy in the hilly areas, with clear skies elsewhere in the country.

There may also be light snowfall in a few places in the high hilly and mountainous regions of Koshi, Gandaki, Karnali, and Sudurpaschim Provinces.

Meteorologist Binu Maharjan from the department stated that there will be no rain in the Kathmandu Valley for the next three days, though the weather will remain partly cloudy.
