KATHMANDU: Currently, there is a partial effect of westerly winds across Nepal.

As of Thursday morning, the weather in the hilly areas of the Koshi, Gandaki, and Karnali provinces is partly cloudy.

The rest of the country is experiencing mostly clear skies. According to the Weather Forecasting Division, mist and fog are present in some areas of the central and eastern Terai.

The Division’s bulletin also mentions the possibility of light snowfall in one or two places in the high hilly and mountainous regions of the Koshi and Gandaki provinces today.

“Today, there is a chance of light snowfall in a few locations in the high hilly and mountainous areas of the Koshi and Gandaki provinces. Mist and fog are likely in some areas of the Terai during the morning hours,” it said.

As these conditions may have a partial impact on daily life, health, and transportation (both road and air), it has advised the public to take necessary precautions to minimize any potential effects.
