BAGMATI: A woman was killed after being hit by a scooter at Haramitole of Bagamati rural municipality-4 along the Madan Bhandari Highway in Makawanpur.
The two-wheeler (Ba Pra 03-004 Pa 7276) en route to Sindhuli from Hetauda struck Ganga Pahari, 48, of the Bagamati rural municipality-4, this evening, leaving her severely injured. Anup Pahari, 5, has been injured in the accident.
The woman succumbed to injuries amidst the treatment at Hetauda-based Chure Hill Hospital, the District Police Office, Makawanpur said. The injured boy is being treated at the same hospital, Office Spokesperson Deputy Superintendent of Police, Shyamu Aryal said.
The scooter rider Anup Kumar Chhetri, 26, of Hetauda Submetropolis-6 presently remains in police custody for further investigation into the accident, according to Aryal. ---
