The Confederation of Banks and Financial Institutions Nepal held its first annual general meeting on March 6.
The AGM elected a 15 member executive commitee under the leadership of Pawan Kumar Golyan, Chairperson of NMB Bank.
Other elected members are Bhoj Bahadur Shah as Senior Vice President, Rajesh Upadhaya as Vice President, and Keshav Bahadur Rayamajhi as General Secretary. Among others, Tulsiram Agrawal was elected as Treasurer, Kush Prasad Malli as Secretary, and Manoj Kumar Kedia as Co-Treasurer.
Meanwhile, Prithvi Bahadur Pandey, Tulsi Prasad Gautam, Ichhya Raj Tamang, Upendra Kesari Neupane, Mahendra Kumar Goyal, Dashrath Risal and Hirendra Man Pradhan were elected as members.
The election process was coordinated by Advocate Balkrishna Dhakal.
After being elected president, Golyan outlined the two year policy of the organisation and talked about making the confederation an integral part of the economic development of the country.
Similarly, he also mentioned about how the confederation would help in the development of cottage industries, entrepreneurs and in generating employment opportunities in collaboration with the government and relevant organisations.
