Lamichhane claims documents submitted to probe committee prove he had no involvement in cooperatives fraud

President of the Rastriya Swatantra Party, Ravi Lamichhane, has said he had submitted documents to the parliamentary probe committee which would not prove his involvement in any irregularities of cooperatives' funds.

Talking to media persons at Bharatpur Airport on Saturday President Lamichhane, also the former Deputy Prime Minister and Minister for Home Affairs, informed that he had submitted evidence to prove that the allegations of his involvement in Gorkha media were invalid.

"The parliamentary probe committee was formed to investigate into the case based on the allegations", he said, "I have taken it as an opportunity to clarify lawmakers against me."

Lamichhane had given a 10-hour-long statement to the parliamentary probe committee on Friday. On the occasion, he informed his weakness was not being able to know about JB Rai.

He said that it is the state agency's job to look into the sources and property of Galaxy TV.

Lamichhane had worked at the media for some years. "I knew about the irregularities in the media only after one and a half years of my departure from," he reminded.

On a different note, the former Home Minister mentioned that time would divulge all facts about the allegations made by the party's suspended General Secretary Mukul Dhakal.
