The Nepal Stock Exchange (Nepse) index, which had dropped quite significantly on Monday, has rebounded today. The secondary market rose by 79.44 points to reach 2,913.84 points today. On Monday, the market had declined by 71.06 points to rest at 2,834.40 points.
Today, the sensitive index too expanded by 3.11 per cent or 16.19 points to 536.34 points. Similarly, the float index too went up by 2.91 per cent or 5.69 points to reach 201.36 points. A total of 19,770,638 shares of 225 listed firms were traded today through 112,050 transactions.
Meanwhile, the daily turnover today stood at over Rs 10.28 billion.
On Monday, all the subgroups in the share market had faced losses, however, today all of them witnessed gains. The finance sub-index was the highest gainer of the day rising by 5.8 per cent or 127.6 points to reach 2,328.56 points.
