Non-Resident Nepalis (NRN) living in various countries of Africa have formed the NRN Africa Ventures Ltd for investing in different sectors in Nepal.
The company established with a capital of around $8.55 million has planned to invest in energy, agriculture, infrastructure, and other sectors, South Asia Monitor reported. Other NRNs who have already returned to Nepal are also expected to join the companies soon.
This is the initiative taken by the NRNs to further contribute to the continuous effort to make Nepal prosperous, according to Hikmat Thapa, chairperson of the association.
Many Nepalis living abroad have already invested in infrastructure, energy health production, and other various sectors in Nepal.
The company has issued a statement, saying it has already started preliminary works for conducting investment. The company will not only invest in Nepal but also bring back the experiences and technical knowledge earned by the NRNs, the statement read.
