Nepal Oil Corporation has raised the price of various petroleum products from today. The corporation has said the price of petrol, diesel and kerosene will be hiked by Rs 2 per litre each as fuel prices in the international market has risen.
According to Binit Mani Upadhyay, Spokesperson of NOC, the price of various petroleum products has been revised as per the automatic pricing mechanism. As per the revised rate, petrol will now cost Rs 129 a litre while diesel and kerosene will cost Rs 112 per litre each.
Similarly, the price of aviation turbine fuel (ATF) has also been raised. The price for one litre of ATF for domestic airlines has been increased by Rs 2 to Rs 84 whereas for international airlines it has been raised by $19 per kilolitre to $754.
Meanwhile, Nepal Oil Corporation has also increased the price of liquefied petroleum gas (LPG), better known as cooking gas, by Rs 25 per cylinder to Rs 1,425 a cylinder.
The corporation has mentioned that even with this latest hike in the price of various petroleum products it will be facing a loss of Rs 913.5 million each fortnight.
