Qatar Airways is delighted to announce that it was the official airline sponsor of the HH the Amir Sword Festival 2021 and support one more year this prestigious event which promotes Qatar as a world hub for equestrian racing.
The three-day event took place from February 18 to 20 at the Qatar Racing and Equestrian Club and brought together some of the world’s best horses, both pure Arabians, thoroughbreds. The top-class participants presented spectacular performances, thrilling races and sheer adrenaline while competing for the coveted HH the Amir Sword title.

As an airline, we have a long tradition of supporting major global sporting events reflecting our firm belief in the unifying power of sport and the pivotal role it plays in bringing people together.
In 2019, Qatar Airways renewed its partnership with the Qatar Racing and Equestrian Club (QREC) for a further three years. The partnership enabled the airline to continue its sponsorship of international prestigious horse racing events, including Qatar Goodwood Festival in the United Kingdom and the Qatar Prix de l’Arc de Triomphe in France.
Qatar Airways currently operates more than 800 weekly flights to over 120 destinations across the globe. By the end of March 2021, Qatar Airways plans to rebuild its network to over 130 destinations with many cities to be served with a strong schedule of daily or more frequencies.
