Türkiye and Moldova signed a deal for the export of natural gas to the latter via pipeline, the Turkish Petroleum Pipeline Corporation (BOTAS) announced Thursday.
The agreement between BOTAS and Moldova's East Gas Energy Trading envisages the export of 2 million cubic meters of natural gas daily since Oct. 1, the Turkish company said in a statement.
BOTAS said that the company continued to support Europe's energy supply security with the export agreements it had made, without giving how long the agreed supply would last.
"BOTAS continues to make new export agreements by taking advantage of its infrastructure investments, advanced transmission system, geographical location and the advantages provided by this strong infrastructure," said the statement.
Türkiye recently signed agreements with Greece, Bulgaria, Hungary and Romania for the export of natural gas via pipeline.
