An earthquake measuring 4.8 on the Richter scale occurred early today at 1:28 a.m. The epicenter of the earthquake was around Hattisar in Banke district, according to the National Earthquake Monitoring and Research Center.
The center said that it was not an aftershock of the Gorkha earthquake but a fresh tremor. The shock of the earthquake was felt in Banke, Bardia in western Nepal, and neighboring India.
