The 26th Annual Congress of the Asian Sports Journalists Federation (AIPS Asia) will begin tomorrow in Kathmandu. This congress, organized for the first time in Nepal, will run from September 11 to 14 under the hospitality of the Nepal Sports Journalists Forum. Sports journalists from representatives from both Europe and Asia are participating in it.
Durga Nath Subedi, President of the Nepal Sports Journalists Forum, expressed pride in hosting this landmark event with the presence of AIPS President Gianni Merlo, underscoring the global importance of the gathering.
On this occasion, the development and promotion of sports journalism in Asia will be discussed. Likewise, challenges and opportunities for women in sports journalism, including the issues they face in the industry will also be discussed.
In addition to these discussions, several Memorandums of Understanding (MoUs) will be signed to foster collaborations in the field. The Congress will also provide insights into the activities of the Asian Electronic Sports Federation.
