KATHMANDU: The final of the Nepal Premier League (NPL) cricket tournament will take place today, with Sudurpaschim Royals and Janakpur Bolts set to compete for the title.
The match will be held at the Tribhuvan University Cricket Ground in Kirtipur on Saturday at 12:30 pm.
Janakpur, who lost to Sudurpaschim in the first qualifier and had to play the second qualifier, defeated Karnali Yaks by two wickets to secure their place in the final.
In the second qualifier, Janakpur successfully chased down Karnali's target of 119 runs, reaching the target in 18.5 overs for the loss of 8 wickets.
Sudurpaschim and Janakpur have faced each other twice in the NPL, with Sudurpaschim emerging victorious in both encounters.
Based on these performances, many spectators and cricket experts are predicting that the title will likely go to Sudurpaschim.
