The Supreme Court (SC) said it can not be even imagined that the Ministry of Finance CCTV footage was deleted. So it was not necessary to issue an interim order to this effect.
A single bench of SC Justice Kumar Regmi on Friday said it can be fairly believed that CCTVs installed at the Ministry of Finance and other ministries within the country's central chief administrative building premises are protected.
The interim order was not considered necessary noting it was even beyond speculation that the footage was eliminated from the system in view of security sensitivity inside the Singha Durbar.
The apex court has issued a prerogative order to place priority on settling the issue as it is related to secrecy and sensitivity of budget formulation.
