Bhaktapur Municipality has provided scholarships worth Rs 61 lakh to students studying at Khwopa Engineering College.
Chief of Bhaktapur municipality and chairman of the college management committee, Sunil Prajapati handed over the scholarship money to the needy students.
He said that the college, established with the aim of providing cheap and quality education, has been distributing scholarships to provide opportunities for students to obtain higher education.
Bhaktapur Napa is currently operating eight colleges, and six childcare centers, while efforts are being made to obtain permission to operate Khwopa University.
