It has been emphasized that a collective effort should be started at the social level against the increasing drug addiction in the society. The speaker of the discussion organized by the Kathmandu branch of Human Rights and Peace Society today said that due to the neglect of spiritual and social thought, indiscipline has increased in the society and deviation has started in the new generation.

The speaker of the program said that there is a need to launch an effective campaign from the social level to end drug addiction without delay. In the program, former state minister Mohansingh Rathore expressed his concern that not only the capital, but also the villages are becoming hotbeds of drug addiction.

Deepak Risal, head of the Gokarneshwar municipality, said that problems have started to arise in the society as rituals are being forgotten. "There has been a deviation in our cultural festival, due to not being able to distinguish properly, the attraction of the young generation has increased in the form of drug addiction, the municipality has planned to go to schools and be active in spreading awareness", he said.

In the event, Kageshwari Manohara municipality head Upendra Karki said that in an environment where the number of drug addicts is spreading like wildfire, awareness should be spread from house to house against drug addiction. He promised that the municipality would provide necessary support for this.

The former president of Shanti Samaj, Uttam Pudasaini, presented a working paper on collective efforts to end drug addiction and emphasized that there should be collective efforts against it. In the program, the central general secretary of the society Ramkrishna Baral, central member of Nepal Kisan Sangh Jeevanti Aryal, chairman of Gandhi Adarsh ​​Secondary School Board of Directors Dr. Ganeshraj Adhikari, chairman of Kageshwari Manohara Municipality-8 Haribhakt Pudasaini and chairman of Ward No. 6 Prakash Phuyal expressed solidarity against addiction.

Similarly, Tejvinayak High School Board of Directors Chairman Vidur Dhungana, Society Kathmandu President Bhagwan Pudasaini, Celebration Co-ed Founder Acharya Mahendra Bhattarai, Nepalese Community Association Australia President Madhusudan Pudasaini, Pabson Gokarneshwar President Dean Sivakoti, Liberty Academy Principal Om Prasad Dhakal and other speakers spoke about collective efforts against drug addiction and discussed the needs.
