Chinese Ambassador to Nepal, Chen Song had a courtesy meeting with Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Physical Infrastructure and Transport Narayankaji Shrestha.
In the meeting held today at the Ministry of Physical Infrastructure and Transport, the relationship between the two countries, and the projects being promoted by China in Nepal were discussed.
He also urged the Chinese side to speed up the work of expanding the Kalanki-Chabhil road section of the ring road which has not been extended. The Chinese side requested the Deputy Prime Minister Shrestha to remove some obstacles at the project site immediately.
In that meeting, it was also discussed that the Chinese side would further expand the cooperation, advance the ongoing projects and provide support, and further the study of some projects.
Similarly, there was also a discussion about providing additional support for the maintenance and expansion of the Arniko highway. Deputy Prime Minister Shrestha drew the attention of the Chinese ambassador to the issue of opening the border in addition to Tokha-Chhare tunnel, Sankhuwasabha-Kimathanka road section.
