Dugad Spice fined Rs 300,000

The Department of Commerce, Supplies and Consumer Protection has imposed a fine of Rs 300,000 on Dugad Spices and Food Industries.

The department has fined the Biratnagar-based industry for producing and selling adulterated spices. The department has directed the industry to produce quality products in future.

Meanwhile, the National Consumer Forum has issued a statement today urging the general consumers to be careful while consuming Century brand spices produced by the industry.
