The isolation and primary health centre set up by the Federation of Nepalese Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FNCCI) in the building of the old Gorkha Hospital, in Chhetrapati, has come into operation from Monday.
The centre was jointly inaugurated by FNCCI President Shekhar Golchha, Former Deputy Prime Minister Prakash Man Singh and Deputy Mayor of Kathmandu Metropolitan City Hari Prabha Khadgi.
At present, the isolation centre has 50 beds but there are plans to increase this number to 100 gradually depending on the necessity. As per FNCCI, the isolation centre has been opened for those patients infected with coronavirus who do not have the required resources to stay in home isolation. Patients staying in this isolation centre will be provided food and medicines and will be under the supervision of healthcare workers.
The isolation and primary health centre has been established under the FNCCI Operation COVID Relief Nepal Campaign.
