Former King Gyanendra Shah was discharged from hospital on Wednesday evening after making a full recovery from COVID-19. Shah was discharged from Norvic International Hospital at 8:00 pm.
Shah had tested negative for coronavirus infection in PCR report about three days ago while former queen Komal's health condition has improved,
The PCR test was conducted on Sunday, the hospital informed.
Likewise, former queen Komal Shah who was undergoing treatment through Plasma Therapy method has also seen improvements on different health indicators, according to Somnath Bastola, Chief Corporate Communication and Public Relation Manager at the hospital.
Meanwhile, Komal has been receiving treatment in the general ward while crown princess Prerana Shah has still been staying in the hospital accompanying her mother. Likewise, Komal's oxygen support has also be minimised with the progress in health condition.
Former crown princess Prerana Shah had previously tested negative for coronavirus infection.
A team led by the hospital's senior physician and cardiologist Dr JP Haisawal and Chest physician Dr B Shreevastav have been engaged in the treatment of former royal members. They were admitted to the hospital after they suffered health complication on April 24.
