Nepal Police have arrested four people with Leopard skin, a rare wild animal.
Bishnu Sunar, 35, of Chandrakot Gaonpalika-7, Gulmi, Furi Sherpa, 29, of Khijighomba Gaonpalika-9, Okhaldhunga, Binod Shrestha, 24, of Gajuri Gaonpalika-5, Dhading and Kamalamai Nagarpalika-4, 30, of Sindhuli have been arrested. Vikas Purkuti was arrested on Friday.
Spokesperson of the Kathmandu Metropolitan Police, Superintendent of Police Dinesh Raj Mainali said that they were arrested from the East-West Guest House run by Laxmi Prasad Giri in Budhanilkantha Municipality-8. Police said that they were arrested while they were on their way to sell the leopard skin wrapped in a black and blue bag with the words 'The North Face' written on it.
Police also recoved a Leopard skin with a tail 4.3 feet long and two feet wide and another Leopard skin 6.9 feet long and three feet wide with a tail along with a skinless Leopard head, three Oppo mobiles and a Samsung mobile phone.
Spokesperson Mainali said that the four arrested have been sent to Division Forest Office, Hattisar, Kathmandu today for necessary investigation and action.
