Government committed to control corruption: PM

Prime Minister Sher Bahadur Deuba has said that the government is committed to control corruption.

Understanding the annual report of the National Vigilance Center at the PM's residence in Baluwatar today, Prime Minister Deuba promised to always be with the government on the steps taken by the Center to control corruption. He assured that the Center would effectively implement the recommendations given by the Center to control corruption, said Hari Prasad Sharma, Deputy Secretary and Information Officer of the Vigilance Center.

A delegation led by Central Secretary Sushil Chandra Tiwari has submitted the 19th Annual Report of the Fiscal Year to the Prime Minister. The report mentions the main work done by the center in the fiscal year. The report has been submitted to the Prime Minister in accordance with the rules of the National Vigilance Center (Operation) Rules, including the suggestions submitted to the Government of Nepal regarding the work done by the Center and control of corruption.

The report has four paragraphs. In paragraph 1, the introduction of the Vigilance Center includes the scope of work of the Institutional Development Center, its functions, duties and rights, organizational structure and manpower, and the policy arrangements and efforts to maintain good governance. Paragraph 2 covers the major works performed by the Center in the fiscal year. Paragraph 3 contains the suggestions made to the Government of Nepal regarding the control of corruption and paragraph 4 contains the conclusion.
