KATHMANDU: General Upendra Dwivedi, the Indian Army Chief, is on a five-day official visit to Nepal and met with Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli at the Prime Minister's Office in Singha Durbar on Friday.
As part of his visit, which commenced last Wednesday, Dwivedi received the honorary title of General of the Nepali Army (NA) from President Ram Chandra Poudel the day prior.
Following the award ceremony, he paid a courtesy visit to the President.
Today, Dwivedi is scheduled to address students at the Nepal Army Command and Staff College in Shivapuri.
On Saturday, he is scheduled to participate in a rally for ex-servicemen in Pokhara, where he will also honor recipients of various awards. He is expected to return to India on Sunday.
