Minister for Communications and Information Technology Rekha Sharma asserted that the three-tier government should be further strengthened.
Minister Sharma, also Spokesperson of the government, assured that they will quell the conspiracies hatched against accomplishments achieved following scarifies and struggle of people.
At a programme organized by Aanbookhaireni rural municipality in Tanahu district today marking its 7th anniversary, Minister Sharma viewed that coordination and collaboration among the three-tier government would lead to realization of development in the country.
Stating that the constitution had envisaged a three-tier government, Sharma said, "The constitution has enshrined authorities to all governments. The local government is the closest of all to the people. It is all-weather friend for the people."
The Minister assured that the incumbent government was committed towards delivering on development, she shared that the federal government was also committed towards further strengthening the local government.
Urging one and all to move ahead with action-places to realize the goal of development in the country, she reassured, "We will not let the accomplishments earned after sacrifices and struggle go in vein. The incumbent government is committed towards further strengthening the local government."
Similarly, Hari Bahadur Chuman, Minister for Physical Infrastructure, Development and Transport Management of Gandaki Province, pledged that the province government was ever ready to further empower the local government.
Likewise, Aanbookhaireni municipality Chairperson, Shukra Chuman, articulated his readiness that the local government was ready to coordinate efforts with provincal and federal governments.
On the occasion, various individuals were feted in recognition of their contribution in development of the local government.
