Nepal Chamber of Commerce (NCC) has provided necessary medical supplies to six government hospitals in Kathmandu valley. NCC President Rajendra Malla along with other executives of the chamber handed over PPE sets, face masks, surgical gloves and paracetamol along with other medical supplies to the hospitals today.
The medical supplies were provided to Nepal Police Hospital, Paropkar Maternity and Women’s Hospital, Bir Hospital, Teaching Hospital in Maharajgunj and Chhetrapati Nishulka Chikitsalaya.
To help stop the spread of the second wave of the coronavirus in the country, Nepal Chamber has been doing the necessary through Nepal Chamber COVID-19 Central Management Committee. The committee is headed by the chamber’s Vice President Deepak Kumar Malhotra.
The chamber informed that the medical supplies had been provided to the aforementioned government hospitals as the flow of patients infected with COVID-19 is high in these hospitals.
Meanwhile, NCC President Malla also said that since hospitals have been facing a dire shortage of oxygen and cylinders the chamber will import cylinders and oxygen concentrators within a week and distribute them to the hospitals.
