The Nepal Veda Vidyashram in Bankali in the Pashupati area will be upgraded to a university.
On the occasion of the 48th anniversary of Nepal, Veda Vidyashram runs under the Pashupati Area Development Fund, Minister for Culture, Tourism, and Civil Aviation Prem Bahadur Ale expressed his commitment to make the Vidyashram a college with classes up to graduation by adding four years course after ten plus two (10+2) level.
On the occasion, Minister Ale warned of immediate action against anyone found misusing the funds of the Veda Vidyashram.
Member-Secretary of the Fund Milan Kumar Thapa shared that the Fund was working to upgrade the Vidyashram to a college. He said there were plans to also develop the Vidyashram into a University.
On the occasion, the best teacher of Nepal Veda Vidyashram, and the winner of various competitions held by the school were awarded in the program.
