Odd even withdrawn, other restrictions eased

The odd-even restrictions will be removed in Kathmandu Valley from Monday. Similarly, the schools can run physical classes from March 20, 2022.

As per the recommendation of COVID-19 Crisis Management Coordination Center (CCMCC), the district administration offices of all the three districts of the Valley (Kathmandu, Bhaktapur and Lalitpur) have decided to remove the restrictions on vehicles from midnight.

While the educational institutions can reopen from March 20, for students under 12 arrangements will be made to conduct classes in rotation or shift system as per the notice.

The notice also states that all the examinations can be conducted following safety protocols from 1st March.

Similarly, for the prevention, control, and treatment of COVID, the general public must fully comply with the health protocols and must carry their vaccination card.

The DAO has further stated that those coming back to Nepal must stay in self-isolation for at least five days even if the report is negative.

Similarly, it is mandatory to use masks in government offices and business places.

According to the notice, the public and private service providers will provide services through electronic systems. The administration has informed that the person or organization who disobeys or obstructs the order will be punished according to the Infectious Diseases Act, 2020, and the Local Administration Act, 2028.

And shopping malls, department stores, supermarkets and all kinds of shops should only have 20 people at a time.
