A writ petition has been filed at the Supreme Court demanding the removal of solid waste from the Singha Dubar, the Office of the President's Office, and the Prime Minister's residence.
Advocate Padam Bahadur Shrestha filed the petition naming the Mayor of Kathmandu Metropolitan City Balendra Shah and the Office of the Prime Minister and Council of Ministers as the defendants. The petition also calls for an interim order, arguing that the piling up of garbage could lead to the spread of diseases.
