KATHMANDU: Prime Minister KP Oli has extended his heartfelt greetings to all Nepali citizens in celebration of the Chhath festival, a revered event focused on the worship of the Sun.
He shared his warm wishes on social media, emphasizing the profound relationship between the sun, nature, humanity, and other living beings.
He noted that the measurement of time is based on the planets orbiting the sun. PM Oli emphasized that the sun has been revered as a deity by our ancestors for centuries.
"Our ancestors have worshiped the sun as a divine being since ancient times. I extend my warm wishes to everyone celebrating this sacred festival of Sun worship," his message stated.
