The Informal Sector Service Center (INSEC) will present the 28th Prakash Human Rights Award to Rajuram Bhul. In a statement issued today by INSEC President Dr. Indira Shrestha informed that Bhul of Dasharathchand Municipality-4 of Surkhet, who has been working for more than two decades in the campaign to create a society free from exploitation and discrimination, has been honored with the award.
A three-member award selection committee formed under the coordination of INSEC General Secretary Rudra Bahadur Charamkar recommended the working committee to award Bhul. Prakash Kafle, founder general secretary of INSEC, passed away on 16 July 2049 in a Thai Air accident at Ghoptevir, Nuwakot.
People who have made special contributions in Nepal's human rights, politics, education, health and social sectors are awarded on the occasion of Prakash Smriti Diwas. The award is given to one person every year. INSEC also informed that 27 people have been honored so far. It is said that Bhul will be awarded at a program held in Kathmandu on Shrawan 16 under the chief hospitality of the President of the National Human Rights Commission, Tap Bahadur Magar.
