President Bidya Devi Bhandari has said a Children's Academy should be established to protect children's literature.
At a program organized at the Sheetal Niwas on the occasion of 58th National Children's Day on Wednesday, President Bhandari shared that process to establish a separate Children Academy had been forwarded.
She mentioned that discussion with different organizations, including the Nepal Children Organisation, working in the sector of children, is underway for the same. All organizations should pay attention to the capacity development of children as per their respective areas of work, opined the President.
She further said, "Children have different interests and perspectives. The Ministry of Women, Children and Senior Citizens; the Ministry of Education, Science and Technology, and other organizations should be attentive to this regard."
Children's creativity is an equally important matter to address, according to the President.
