The government is going to launch the second dose of Vero cell vaccine from August 6, Friday.
A meeting chaired by Secretary at the Ministry of Health and Population, Dr. Roshan Pokharel, decided to administer the second dose of the coronavirus from next Friday. According to the Department of Health Services, the first dose of the vaccine, which has been in operation since July 12, has been given to the age group of 55 years and above.
For the second vaccination drive, the locals have been requested to go to 42 vaccination centers in Kathmandu district to get vaccinated. There are 32 wards in Kathmandu Metropolitan City and 10 vaccination centers in other municipalities. The ministry has also requested those who are yet to be vaccinated to register on the ministry's website https://vaccine.mohp.gov.np/. So far, about 9.7 million vaccines have been received in Nepal, while 2 million, 2 thousand 7 hundred 3 have been fully vaccinated and 42 million, 54 thousand 5 hundred 40 have gotten the first dose.
