A book entitled 'Economic Journalism-Handbook' published by the Society of Economic Journalists Nepal (SEJON) has hit the market.
Finance Minister Janardan Sharma launched the book amid a function here on Wednesday.
The book provides the definition of economic journalism and ways to write economic news and incorporates 14 areas of economic journalism including national income, monetary policy, capital market and the journalist code of conduct.
On the occasion, Minister Sharma expressed the hope that the book would be useful for those all having interest in the economy. He stressed the need for help of all concerned ranging from all levels and sectors to strengthen country's economy.
He also thanked the SEJON for publishing the book.
Similarly, Prof Chiranjibi Khanal, departmental chief of the Central Department of Journalism and Mass Communication, Tribhuvan University, said that the book could serve as resources materials for students pursuing journalism.
