Rumors of a bomb have closed the domestic flights at the Tribhuvan International Airport for an hour.
Authorities closed the airport and launched a search operation this morning after receiving a telephone call from an unidentified person claiming to have a bomb.
However, airport spokesperson Prem Nath Thakur said that no suspicious item was found. "A search operation has been completed, but no suspicious items have been found," Thakur said. According to him, regular flights will start soon.
Passengers were evacuated from the domestic terminal until the search operation was completed. There was a large crowd of passengers.
