Thailand's Ambassador to Nepal Vosita Vorasaph today paid a courtesy call on Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli at latter's official residence in Baluwatar.
Matters related to measures for enhancing friendly relations between the two countries were discussed between the two, it has been reported.
Extending best wishes to ambassador Vorasaph for his successful tenure, PM Oli expressed his confidence that during his tenure as ambassador to Nepal, new dimensions between the two countries could be explored.
Tourist flow to Buddhist pilgrimages of both the countries should be increased so as to further strengthen the cultural and people's level relations connected to Buddhist religion practising in both the countries, he viewed. Although diplomatic relations between the two countries took place 62 years ago, the relations dates back a long time ago, he said.
On the occasion, the Thai Ambassador viewed that tourist inflow in Nepal could be heightened through direct flights from Thailand to Bhairahawa Airport in Nepal.
